Upstage Theatre Program at Roscomare Road Elementary

Kindergarten-2nd Grade

Rehearsals/classes begin Feb 12 (Tues. & Thursday), shows May 3rd & 4th

Registration for Peter Pan Jr. will be here the week of December 10th.

Roscomare has partnered with Upstage Theatre Schools for the 3rd year to offer after-school performing arts education.  Upstage puts on professional productions with Directors, Choreographers, musical directors, and brings in stage equipment to enhance our stage and lighting.  Each year our programs sell out, and result in sold-out smash hits.

Founded on the principle that theater should be fair and fun, Upstage Theatre productions feature ensemble casting, and an environment for the child to find their own level in their own time. Their overall objective is for the student to feel joyful and creatively fulfilled when performing, and their hope is that all students grow in confidence, make new friends and learn new skills.

Upstage Theatre Program at Roscomare Road Elementary (Kindergarten-2nd Grade)

Roscomare Road Elementary’s Production of: Disney’s Peter Pan Jr., rated G

Play Description:

Based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie’s enchanting play, Disney’s Peter Pan JR. is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn’t grow up… with no flying required! The score includes new arrangements of classic Disney songs and a story featuring one rousing adventure after another.

Wendy Darling loves to tell stories to her brothers, Michael and John. But when her father announces she must move out of the nursery, Peter Pan comes to visit the children and whisks them away to Neverland. Their journey introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook!  It’s Peter to the rescue when Wendy is taken captive by the dreaded captain, who has his own sinister plans in mind for our hero.

Disney’s Peter Pan JR. is a magical story.
